Qwilt Appoints Yoni Mizrahi as Chief Financial Officer
New Executive Brings Extensive Financial Management Experience as Global Expansion Accelerates
REDWOOD CITY, CA – June 20, 2018 – Qwilt, a leading provider of content delivery and open caching solutions, announced today that Yoni Mizrahi has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer. In this new role, she will lead the company’s financial activities and operations.
“Yoni’s extensive experience managing all financial operations at both public and private companies will help us support Qwilt’s rapid global growth,” said Alon Maor, CEO and co-founder of Qwilt. “The demand from service providers for our Edge Cloud solutions continues to accelerate, which makes Yoni’s financial management and fundraising expertise invaluable to our organization. We are excited to have her on board to help us scale our operations to serve more customers and help position us for product line and market expansion.”
Prior to joining Qwilt, Yoni served as Chief Financial Officer of LightCyber, a cybersecurity company acquired by Palo Alto Networks (NYSE: PANW) in early 2017. Yoni joined LightCyber in its early stage and built the company’s financial, legal, operational and administrative functions to support rapid global expansion. Prior to LightCyber, Yoni served as Vice President of Finance at UroGen Pharma (NASDAQ:URGN) and as Vice President of Finance at Pythagoras Solar, where she led all financial planning, reporting and fundraising activities.
“I have worked at many successful high-growth technology companies and I know what it takes to transition from the start-up phase to a profitable global organization,” said Yoni Mizrahi, CFO of Qwilt. “In Qwilt, I quickly recognized the special combination of market vision, technology, product innovation and leadership that a start-up must have to be successful. I look forward to adding my own skillset to those of the current team to further accelerate Qwilt’s growth and success.”
Qwilt’s open cache solution is engineered specifically for high performance and scalable content delivery in the demanding environment of high capacity operator networks. The solution is delivered as a fully managed service to speed deployment and streamline ongoing operation. The broader operator organisation—including network planning, engineering and operations teams—benefits from comprehensive media analytics, which offer insights into growth trends, content sources and consumer preferences. By relying on open caching for online video delivery at the network edge, operators can substantially reduce network capital and operational costs, since a typical open-cache deployment yields a return-on-investment (ROI) in less than a year.
Qwilt’s unique Open Edge Cloud Platform and Open Caching software solutions help Internet service providers address the dramatic growth of streaming media on their networks and cater to the need for a low latency, high scale infrastructure to support future applications. Qwilt’s cloud managed open platform, running on commodity compute and storage infrastructure and deployed close to consumers, creates a massively distributed Open Edge Cloud that is able to support such applications as Open Caching, 4K Live Streaming, AR, VR, Self- Driving Cars and IoT. This low latency Edge Cloud architecture enables a high-quality streaming experience for users on a massive scale. A growing number of the world’s leading cable, telco and mobile service providers rely on Qwilt for Edge Cloud applications.
Qwilt is a Founding Member of the Streaming Video Alliance as well as a leader of the Open Caching industry movement.
